Cleaning Performance and Burner Quality Labels

EUnited Cleaning and its members are committed to continuously improving the technical performance and quality of professional cleaning equipment. One of the initiatives in this area is the development of voluntary performance labels for professional cleaning machines. In cooperation with technical experts from its member companies, EUnited Cleaning has developed the Cleaning Performance Label for scrubber-dryers and the Burner Quality Label for high-pressure cleaners.

Cleaning Performance Label

To obtain the Cleaning Performance Label, members must test their machines according to the defined EUnited test procedure. Two test surfaces are soiled with a protein-based dirt mixture representative of typical contamination found, for example, on supermarket floors. The surfaces are then cleaned with the scrubber-dryer under examination under defined conditions. The cleaning result is measured with a spectrophotometer and must exceed the performance threshold specified in the test procedure. The Cleaning Performance Label is awarded only to machines that demonstrate a high level of cleaning performance and meet the demanding requirements of the defined test procedure.

Burner Quality Label

The Burner Quality Label confirms that the burner system of an oil-heated stationary high-pressure cleaner has been assessed against defined technical and safety-related criteria. The assessment includes parameters specified in the applicable test procedure, such as thermal exhaust losses, carbon monoxide emissions and dust emissions. The label communicates conformity with the defined quality and performance requirements.
