European Engineering Industries Association

Founded in 2004, EUnited aisbl represents Europe‘s leading engineering equipment manufactures and suppliers, comprised of 70 companies largely small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
EUnited provides a channel for companies to communicate with the European Institutions and partner organisations and to articulate the role of equipment suppliers in technical standards development, policy formulation, trade issues and legislation.
Within a single European association, member companies are organised in three sectors which are Cleaning, Municipal Equipment and Vehicle Wash Systems.

The Industrious Brussels offices are in the European district, where powerful decisions and the city’s biggest deals are made every day.

Within walking distance of the Central station, the Industrious Brussels location is surrounded by EU institutions as well as international headquarters of many corporations.

A mix of professionals from all around the globe meet there every day, making it the ideal spot to build relationships and grow a network.

Welcome speech

Michael Häusermann

Chief of Special Businesses Officer (CBO) & Member of 
the Board of Management, Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG since 2020.

Prior to this, he was Vice-President of Floor Care Solutions, Professional Channels at Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG (2016-2019). From 2000-2016 he worked as CEO of Bucher Municipal as a member of Cooperate Management at Bucher Industries AG.

He was also a co-founder of EUnited and was the first Chairman of EUnited Municipal Equipment.

First elected in 2018 as President of the EUnited and after two successful terms of office Michael Häusermann will step down from this position after the GA on 17 October.

Georg Emil Riekeles

Associate Director, European Policy Centre

Before joining the EPC, Georg served as diplomatic adviser to EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier during the four years of Brexit negotiations with the UK. He was in charge of relations with EU member states and the European Parliament during the withdrawal negotiations, and then took on responsibility for strategy and communication during the negotiations on the future partnership.

Georg also served as member of cabinet to Commission Vice-President and Commissioner Michel Barnier in the period 2010-2014, working on digital and single market reforms, as well as inter-institutional relations in the context of the post-financial crisis regulatory agenda.

Before moving to Belgium, Georg worked in ministerial cabinets at the French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and the French Ministry of Foreign and European affairs, as well as in the private and non-profit sectors in France. He is of Norwegian nationality and grew up in Oslo.

Svenja Hahn

Member of the European Parliament
Renew Europe Group

Since 2022, Svenja Hahn has been working as Vice-President of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE Party) with the national member parties and sister parties of the FDP from all over Europe.

She worked strategically on the 2024 European elections and the party’s internal women’s network.

In June 2024 she got reelected for her second term in the European Parliament.
She is a member of the Renew Europe Presidency and a member of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (Renew Coordinator) and a member of the Committee on International Trade.
As the top candidate of the Young Liberals and the Hamburg FDP, she obtained the second position on FDP’s list of candidates for the 2019 European elections, campaigning under the motto “Seize Europe’s opportunities”, resulting in her election.

After graduating from high school in 2009, Hahn moved to Giessen in Hesse for her bachelor’s degree in history and cultural studies at the Justus Liebig University, where she became a member of the FDP.

Rudi Rosenkamp

Aebi Schmidt
VP and Candidate for the position of EUnited President

Rudi Rosenkamp is Head Sales Global and Member of the Group Executive Board at Aebi Schmidt. He has been working in the Municipal Equipment sector for over 38 years. 


He started his career in Aebi Schmidt as responsible for After Sales for the Dutch business. 


After different roles in Aebi Schmidt Holding AG, he is now Head Sales Global and Member of the Group Executive Board and responsible for sales through dealers worldwide, as well as for the sales of Airport Equipment. 


He has been active in EUnited since 2013, as Chairman of EUnited’s Municipal Equipment sector as well as Chairman of the Winter Maintenance Equipment section in the Municipal Equipment Sector. 


He was elected twice to EUnited’s Management Board as Vice-President representing Municipal Equipment in 2019 and last year, when he started his second term of office.
