EUnited Cleaning’s Technical Committee has published its technical recommendation on Cybersecurity. Manufacturers of cleaning devices who are associated with EUnited Cleaning can declare that they comply with this technical recommendation.
This document indicates the minimum requirements for achieving a certain level of cyber-resilience for cleaning devices. EUnited Cleaning’s Technical Committee recognizes that it is impossible to achieve absolute cybersecurity in practical and realistic terms. However, as outlined in this document, the appropriate level of cyber-resilience of a given machine can be determined by the intended use, operational environment, and the corresponding threat.
In addition to existing European and international standards, this document defines 3 protection goals which are linked to associated threat actors and threats, and provides product requirements, process requirements and backend requirements. Each requirement is described and a compliance criteria is introduced to enable manufacturers to show conformity.
The full technical recommendation is available to EUnited Cleaning members via the members extranet.
