AUTOMATICA Service Robotics 2016

Building on the success of AUTOMATICA Service Robotics in 2014, the upcoming AUTOMATICA in 2016 is sure to surpass all expectations. In a joint effort, EUnited Robotics and Messe Munich have come up with a concept to not only display a wide spectrum of service robots in action, but also enable visitors to directly and safely interact with the robots. There will be a large demonstration park showing examples of both human-robot collaboration and mobile robots.  Visitors can witness how robots operate in their application area, e.g. farming, production, medical, etc., as well as how they interact with humans.  This will also be demonstrated in live shows throughout the trade fair. “Observing the degree of autonomy in various types of service robots and interacting with them is not something you come across often – but you will at AUTOMATICA”, said Patrick Schwarzkopf, Director of EUnited Robotics.

Highlights also include: latest technology on human-robot collaboration, focus on mobile platforms and Silicon Valley.

An executive-level dinner for CEOs and Managing Directors in robotics (“CEO- Dialogue”) is planned on the evening of AUTOMATICA opening with the invited guest speaker Günther Oettinger (tbc), EU Commissioner for Digital Economy & Society.  “CEO Dialogue” is by invitation only and includes members of the press as well as politicians and key endusers.
